Saawan Kumar’s SAAWAN – the affection SEASON tackles a unique subject matter. It tells the tale of a man who predicts the destiny. Whether it’s the demise of someone at nine p.M. Or a primary coincidence at the Mumbai-Pune expressway or the main female’s loss of life on a dreadful Friday, the man is aware of all of it. He is a current-day Nostradamus.
An interesting idea, is not it? Sure, on paper, the idea does sound charming, but on film, the concept is going for a toss.
Honestly, the film rests on a skinny plot. It begins off as a love tale, continues to have the hero and heroine romancing in solar city for the primary forty minutes, until the desi Nostradamus enters the frame, mins earlier than the c programming language.
Again, after the intermission, the hero and heroine damage into songs in Dubai, until our Nostradamus drops a bomb: He tells the heroine she’d die two days later, on Friday. Obviously, the woman is shattered, but in preference to going into a despair [who’d like to rejoice after you’ve known of your impending death?], the hero and heroine spoil into two songs and make merry.
All this while, the heroine continues hammering ‘Friday’ into the hero’s head. At the fateful day, the female is mistakenly shot by the law enforcement officials outside a shopping mall and dies. The hero blames Nostradamus for it, breaks into his house, bashes him black and blue and Nostradamus dies.
Whilst Nostradamus dies, the heroine, who’s already stated dead, wakes up. She’s alive now…
Hindi films have often tackled problems inclusive of reincarnation, ghosts and astrology and the moviegoer has embraced the ones issues if they’re handled convincingly. Unfortunately, in SAAWAN – the love SEASON, the screenplay is amateurish and by the time the tale reaches the finale, you’ve already misplaced interest within the goings-on.
To sum up, SAAWAN – the love SEASON is a great concept gone awry!
Raj [Kapil Jhaveri] and Kajal [Saloni Aswani], both from Mumbai, meet in Cape metropolis. It’s love before everything sight for Raj, but Kajal would not reciprocate. However Raj wins her over and all’s properly.
Raj confides to his father [Ranjeet] about Kajal, while Kajal tells her father [Prem Chopra] approximately Raj. The 2 fathers meet and understand that they may be definitely early life pals. The engagement date is constant — on Kajal’s birthday — but Kajal bumps into an surprising man [Salman Khan] within the day, who no longer simplest saves her from an twist of fate, but forewarns her that her father might die at 9 p.M. That identical night.
The father truly dies at 9 p.M. Kajal starts believing in the unexpected guy and desires to realize her future. This is while the man tells her that she might die on Friday, days later. The remainder is ready the girl looking to stay life fullest in those days, before her demise.
The movie has plots running parallel — the affection tale and the Nostradamus element. Whilst the affection tale is like every other love tale, the quantities involving Salman are slightly watchable, despite the fact that there was scope to make them a ways more exciting.
